People Success Story: Tanja

Passion for languages and technology

Cloudflighters have some incredible interests, hobbies, and knowledge. Take Tanja for example, she speaks English, German, and Japanese fluently, and is also learning Mandarin, Korean, French, and Russian. Besides her passion to know how to communicate with the majority of the world, she is also an outstanding team player.

Not always on the IT path

Tanja joined Cloudflight as a requirements engineer several years ago. Since then, she has become a team lead and a project lead, but looking back, her path was not always focused on IT. In fact, at school, she studied, unsurprisingly, foreign languages and business. Only at university did she discover her passion for technology and eventually chose Business Informatics for her master’s degree.

It did not take long and after talking to her cousin who was a very happy intern at Cloudflight at that time, she joined the company and never looked back. In her role, Tanja is bringing a ton of value to our customers through the deployment of artificial intelligence. Currently, she is increasing security for employees, and other people in general, using a unique AI solution that can autonomously raise an alarm in case of an emergency.

What’s great about working at Cloudflight

Tanja enjoys the dynamic work a lot – in her four years with Cloudflight, she has already been involved in seven projects and every single experience helped her learn something new. This is because in many of the projects, there is a lot of flexibility to do our own scientific research and experiment with different technologies to find what works best.

It is not just the flexibility of experimentation that drives Tanja, but also the flexibility of working, as she can tailor the starting and ending times to her needs or work from anywhere. Apart from that, she loves the relentless strive for improvement her colleagues have, many of whom became her close friends. Lastly, Tanja never misses a chance to take part in our funtastic events, because they help her get out of her comfort zone – from trying out new restaurants to archery or go-karting.
