Growing step by step
In both high school and university, Felix was always among the top students, but to really prove his coding abilities, he decided to compete in the Cloudflight Coding Contest. He scored among top 2% worldwide and it was clear that with his excellent programming & logical skills he would have many open doors. He chose to join Cloudflight and since then his career got on the right track
Initially, as an intern in software engineering, Felix worked on a small project helping implement changes based on customer requests, which enabled him to learn and perfect his use of Spring and Angular. Shortly afterwards he joined a much bigger project where he could finally experience what a real full scrum team works like. Besides excellent work results, Felix never stopped learning new skills and when we were looking to fill a project lead role with an important customer, he was ready to take this responsibility.
Digitalizing the Ministry of Justice
Felix’s current role is to lead a team to support the Austrian Ministry of Justice in their digitalization efforts: Updating the original tools, improving the UI and rewriting functionality for better UX. He constantly needs to collaborate with other teams who are working on other parts of the project, make sure that his team has all they need to be successful and always be aligned with the customer, so the work can be quite overwhelming at times. But this is an environment where Felix thrives, and he loves that he can really make a big impact.
In 2017, when he joined Cloudflight he just wanted to be a good programmer, but today, as he sees his career evolving, he is happy that he gets to develop himself in the right direction: He gets to take over more and more responsibilities, gets to communicate with customers and can always try things he has fun with.
