Munich, 20th September 2022 –Cloudflight, a leading full-service provider for industrial digital transformation, received the Employer of the Future award in Cologne. The German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalization (DIND) had already awarded Cloudflight the seal in March. At Digital X, former Federal Minister of Economics Brigitte Zypries handed over the award to Cloudflight in person.
The award recognizes Cloudflight for its keen understanding of the needs of its employees and customers, as well as its modern corporate culture focused on innovation. The Cloudflight Coding Contest, which will be held this year on November 11 and serves as an important recruiting tool, was particularly highlighted at the award ceremony. Around 4,000 participants worldwide are expected to solve complex tasks in a programming language of their choice. The Cloudflight Coding Contest has been a popular networking event for years and, from an employer´s point of view, a suitable means of combating the shortage of skilled workers in IT, as young talent gets discovered at an early stage and subsequently promoted.
Dr. Roger Kehl, CEO of Cloudflight explains: “Our employees are our most important asset and we want to offer them the best possible development prospects. At the same time, we want to attract the best talent. For this purpose, we have created the Cloudflight Coding Contest. Since 2007, coders have been competing against each other in exciting games and have the opportunity to network with like-minded people. This, among other things, makes Cloudflight a true employer of the future.”
“We are very pleased to have been awarded this prize by the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalization,” adds Markus Brendel, VP Marketing & Communications at Cloudflight. “The Employer of the Future award proves that we are doing great work with regard to our employees and are setting the right course.“
To stand a chance of receiving the “Employer of the Future” award, companies undergo a three-stage review process at the German Innovation Institute that includes publicly available information on evaluation portals and a management interview. The award is valid for one year and is certified with a seal.
The award ceremony took place during Digital X, which once again transformed Cologne into the “World Exhibition of Digitalization”. With presentations on digital megatrends and technology presentations by participating companies, Digital X attracted the big names in the digital industry to exchange ideas and network. The event, organized by the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitization, also featured a meet & greet with over 70 German companies.
