Experts from various fields talk about their experiences, highlight typical pitfalls, and provide specific tips on what really matters in practice. We talk openly about what often gets overlooked in digital projects: the pitfalls that aren’t included in the project plan – but that determine success or failure. And we learn from each other how to do things better.

Expert Talks: Why do digital projects fail?
Digital transformation is not a sure succes - even when projects are well planned and sufficient resources are available. Digital projects fail due to factors that are often underestimated in traditional project planning.
The code works, but the team isn't on board. The technology is there, but the organization can't keep up. The design is finished, but the communication isn't reaching people.
In this event in cooperation with the Cluster IT Tirol and kreativland.tirol, we take an open look at the most common reasons why digital projects fail in practice. We consider four key dimensions: technology, people, organization, and design.

Harald Hofer
Digital projects are rarely purely technical undertakings – understood as transformation processes, they have a significant influence on how people work (together) and sometimes have a profound effect on the organization. This presentation will focus on the desired and undesired structural effects that can accompany such digital projects and how we can raise awareness of this among project managers.

Design & Communication – “Tell the story of digital transformation”
Hans Renzler, Consultant at VerVieVas GmbH
How can communication in digital projects be successful in such a way that people go along with it, understand it, and even enthusiastically help shape it?
Because only when we communicate change well can technology, organization, and transformation give rise to a common understanding.
We show which tools really help in this process: storytelling, visualization, videos, gamification, e-learning, or workshops, and what really matters in the end.
