IT projects often fail due to the complexity of the projects, missing resource planning or a lack of expertise.

How can projects still be implemented successfully and efficiently? How do you take Make or Buy decisions? And what is the role of “smart collaboration” – the intelligent, targeted and technology-supported collaboration that increases efficiency, breaks down silos and promotes innovation?

Thomas Pisar (Consultant & former IT Director @ A1 Telekom Austria) looks back on over 20 years of experience in the areas of enterprise architecture and project portfolio planning. He will build on his own experience and give a refreshing keynote with a completely new perspective on success in IT projects, their complexity and the role of partnerships.

Andrea Furlan (Team Leader IT Vendor Management @ WALTER GROUP) and Mathias Kollmitzer (Agile Master/Coach @ WALTER GROUP) will give best practice insights into how complex IT projects can be approached, the right setup can be found and what you should bear in mind when collaborating on a project.

After the keynotes, there will be plenty of time for open discussion and networking over a buffet and drinks.

*McKinsey (2022):Unlocking the potential of public-sector IT projects

Welcoming by Cloudflight

Thomas Pisar (Consultant & former IT Director @A1 Telekom Austria) will reflect on challenges he faced as IT Director and how they were overcome. While diving deep into the complex character of IT projects, he will outline how partnership and collaboration can work.

Collaboration with external partners as a principle is in WALTER GROUP‘s DNA and therefore also in its IT. Andrea Furlan (Team Leader IT Vendor Management) and Mathias Kollmitzer (Agile Master/Coach) will explain with a pinch of humor and a lot of honesty how a successful setup for software development was found using shared resources, standardization and a portion of agility.

After the keynotes, we will invite everyone to join an open discussion led by Cloudflight to raise any further questions.

We end the evening with delicious food, drinks and networking
