Munich, October 28, 2024 – On Friday, October 25, the Cloudflight Coding Contest (CCC) celebrated its 40th anniversary, bringing together programmers from around the world once again. With more than 5,000 registrations at 43 locations in thirteen countries, the competition was a complete success. The event peaked with the inaugural live broadcast from the stage of Vienna City Hall, allowing remote participants to join in the excitement. Another highlight was the last-minute inclusion of an additional location: Auroville in India, where many participants also joined the contest.
“We are incredibly proud to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Cloudflight Coding Contest with a new record of over 5,000 registrations,” says Dr. Martin Endress, CEO of Cloudflight. “Since 2007, the CCC has been the central meeting place for young coders to compete with the best talents and has now developed into a global competition. Especially in today’s dynamic, high-tech world, we see it as our mission to specifically promote the next generation of coders and prepare them for future-oriented topics such as artificial intelligence, data science and cloud computing in order to shape the world of tomorrow together”
The competition featured challenging, practical coding tasks in two categories. The “School” track was tailored for students aged 16 and over, while the “Classic” track offered experienced developers complex algorithmic challenges.
The winners of the 40th CCC are:
School Track: winning team “sigmalau” from Zalău, Romania
Classic Track: individual participant “enot110” from London, England
